Ramabai was reformer and deeply interested in the uplift of Indian womanhood She threw her heart and soul into the Sevasadan. She concentrated her whole energy upon it. The result is that the Sevasadan has become an institution without a second of its kind throughout India.
Nagpur branch of Pune Sevasadan was established in Vidyawadi, Dhantoli on 2nd January 1927. In order to make Women self reliant, initially Institute started with different courses like Sewing Classes, English Language, Nursing Classes, Singing Classes, and Adult education.
